Philips Radio (GB) Model: B3G97U 

Hi, Guys here we have a 1960 Philips Valve Radio it is working and in fairly good condition, just one minor point and that is the missing Knob of the Tuner on the front, apart from that it’s good. 

 It has 7 Tubes, UF80-UF80-UCH81-UF89-UABC80-UL84-UY85 The Principles are Super-Heterodyne ( Super in General) ZF/1F470/10700 kHz, 2 AF Stage(s) The Wave Band details are Broadcast, Long Wave, and FM. The Power is AC/DC-set/200-250 Volt

The Loudspeaker is a Permanent Magnet Dynamic (PDyn)  The Case is material is Bakelite Case. The chassis  number is the same as the  model B3G75U
The net weight is 3.8kg

The 60s was the best era for music as anyone around that time would tell you, this radio would have been belting out the BBCs number one hits like The Rolling Stones, The Beatles, The Who, and The Ronnettes just naming a few of the classic artist around in the 1960s, teenagers getting ready for work would have been listening to this Radio.

Hi, Guys here we have a National Panasonic Radio and Cassette player Model No. RQ-553LDS
The specifications are 240v~50Hz or 9v...   Freq: FM 87.5 ~108 MHz  LW 145~285kHz  MW 520~1610kHz  SW1 23 ~7MHz  SW2 7 ~22MHz
It has two Power in Jacks at the back AC in and DC in 9v (6 Size D 1.5v  UM1 Batteries )

It has Memory Rewind, Tape Cr02 and Normal, Memory On/Off  


A counter and a Reset control also a Triple Indicator.  On the right-hand side facing two Tuning controls one normal and one for fine-tuning.



 And on the left side, it has an RCE/PLAY port an AUX-in, MIC,  REMOTE MIC MONITOR  OSC 1 11/ ON-OFF, and EXT SP (8Ω) 



 On top are the Radio and Cassette controls.    The Tape Cassette are: Pause, Stop/Eject, FF, Play, Rewind, Record, It has a Selector Switch for Off/Tape Radio and Sleep.   Band, Bass, Treble, and Volume control. 





This is a very good sound Radio/Cassette Player, made 

in the 1970s in Japan by 
Matsushita Electric Industrial Co Ltd

Roberts R 500 Radio

Here we have a Red early Roberts R 500 Radio with the 

Serial Number-19008 made by the Roberts Radio Co. LTD. This Radio is a 3 waveband Radio with 7 Transistors, it's portable and was produced about September 1963 and sold for £18. 10s. 6d, which at that time was a lot of money. The Robert R200 was much less costing £14. 6s 0d. That’s about £286 in today’s money. 

It has a built-in ferrite rod aerial for long & medium waves, an output socket to feed a tape recorder, also an external car aerial socket. It has also a 78 cm extending external Brass Aerial which covers the short waves from 50m to 16m (6MHz to 18.75MHz. The Radio is built in a wooden case with a leather cover and a plastic handle; it also has a turntable fitted to the bottom.  This radio shows its 50 year age, its carry handle is cut and the Radio its self is not working, the two control Knobs are working but badly worn, the Dimensions are 27.5 cm X 18 cm X 12 cm. The Golden Roberts Logo is still looking well; it also takes 2 X 9v Batteries. If I am able to get this Radio working again I will let you know in this post.

Crown MW LW Transistor Radio Model TR-602L


Hi, Guys here we have a 2- Band 6-Transistor Radio Model TR-602L, the frequency range is MW 575~185 m LW 1850~1100 m, and the IF: 470 kHz.
 This Radio is just Battery operated and it takes 3 ”C” size Flashlight  Batteries: ( CRU UM-2 or Equivalent ) 4.5v. The dimensions of this Radio are 17cm x 11cm x 6.5 cm. 

It has a carry handle, a Volume/On/ Off Switch, a Band Switch, and a frequency dial, it also has an Earphone outlet. Most likely, made in the 1960s by Crown Radio Corporation in Japan.  This one is still in good working condition.

Armstrongs Vintage Radio Model EXP 125/2CP

Armstrongs  Vintage Radio Model EXP 125/2CP

Hi, Guys, This is an early Armstrong Radio Tuner and Amplifier Model EXP/2CP which was built around 1948.  It is in two units, one of the units is the multi-band tuner shown here. You can see in the picture to the right the plugin lead from the Amplifier below.

Also, you can see that I have 4 Knobs missing, that I need to find from somewhere, also I need to know what the Knobs are for and what does what to restore this radio. This is an early Armstrong Radio Tuner and Amplifier Model EXP/2CP which was built around 1948.  It was in two units, one of the units was the multi-band tuner and preamplifier section, shown to the Right. ( at the Back of the Tuner there are two jacks named "PU" and "AE" can anyone tell me what they are? )

And this is the power Amplifier shown below in the picture. The amplifier plugs into the multi-band tuner, but that’s all I know, I don’t know where or how or where the Speaker fits in or if it is fully complete. I am hoping that someone could share any information about this particular model as I hope to somehow get it working, if you do know anything at all please share. thanks.
